Went to the Police concert wtih MCC tonight. Just about perfect, except there was no room to dance since we were up in the nosebleed section of the AA Center (I think they sold out both nights they were in town). All the great old songs, some interpreted in new ways. Enjoyed them all, although I still prefer the originals mostly. Neither one of us will have a voice tomorrow – sang along with practically every song. Much yelling and screaming; 3 encores. Great memories. Must go to bed now!

Thoughts
SCA things to do:
1. Make covers for ice chests, with lids that open for convenience
2. Make cover for chair
3. Paint tent with something pretty
4. Make bag for tent. Another bag for ropes and stakes
5. Reduce measurements on dress form – it doesn’t squish, but I do!
6. Fix yellow linen dress (it’s how I discovered how much more I squish than does my dress form)
7. Make linen underdresses – Lilies proved that linen rocks
8. Dye pink linen to deep red. Make dress
9. Dye yellow linen to deep gold. Make dress
10. Dye remaining linen to some pretty color. Make dresses
11. Buy more linen. Need a black underdress
12. Mix and match different color linens to make parti-colored dress
13. Make frame and paint silk banners
14. Need to order dyes for all of the above dyeing!Modern things to do:
1. Finalize choice for floor in office
2. Finalize choice for front door
3. Pack up books and other shelf contents
4. Pack up craft/sewing room, organizing and cleaning out as I go
5. Pack up office/desk, organizing and cleaning out as I go
6. Pack up closets, organizing and cleaning out as I go
7. Finish cleaning and organizing garage (hold garage sale?)
8. Take down all pictures, etc. in preparation for installation of carpet/tile/wood
9. Paint third bathroom yellow
10. Paint master bathroom – white or deep red or both or something else?
11. Select paint color for kitchen and paint
12. Select blinds for all rooms and installLots more, but I’m tired just reading the above.

My First Lilies
Fabulous. I seem to have brought the good weather genie with me because except for one rain shower and about an hour a day of just too hot, the weather was great (if warm and humid). The spot we camped at almost always had a lovely breeze off the lake, and the nights were quite cool enough to sleep well. I don’t think we ever got started doing anything before 10:00, which is when the classes I wanted to take generally started, and the fighting the guys wanted to do also got started. Took a draping class, a gothic fitted dress class, and a kinda silk banner painting class. The actual instructor got sick, so we got a substitute who gave us tips but didn’t give us the hands-on we were supposed to have. Interesting none the less. The Ladies of the Rose tourney was great – Mahdi and his man-at-arms (could be squire by now) Damon fought in my name, and Mahdi made the semi-finals. Damon had a fabulous day as well and was seriously considered for most-chivalrous fighter. Mahdi beat him out for it.
Daffydd represented the Shire of Brad Leah and the Order of the Rose in the Champions tourney, and he also made the semi-finals. He was fighting well enough to win, I think, but he couldn’t get traction and kept slipping down the hill on which they held the tourney (stupid to hold the tourney there). Made for some spectacular deaths though! We went to a special Roman feast on Thursday night – it was a prize that Daffydd won some years ago. The woman offering the prize then moved out of kingdom and didn’t hook up with him until this year. It was a feast for four, so I got to go along and so did Alexander. Very good food, although it was served a little slowly. We gave it up and packed everything up Friday afternoon. Then we drove to the other side of Kansas City, got a hotel and went to bed early. Alexander and I had to be back in Dallas for a not-a-reception-after-the-wedding dinner party for Joaquim and Amanda, who got married this past Monday. Today has been cleaning out my car into the garage, then cleaning out the garage. Now, I’m working on laundry and cleaning up the house from the preparation-for-Lilies frenzied mess I left last week. Going back to work tomorrow should be somewhat restful!
