Deeds of Heroes was a lot of fun this past weekend, and I really
enjoyed driving there and back with D. Makes the trip so much
shorter to have someone to talk to, especially someone you can confide
in (and vice versa). Actually got a bit tipsy Friday night, which
I haven’t done in quite a while. Saturday was a beautiful day,
the feast was great, and much fun was had by all Saturday night.
D and I dropped by the outlets in San Marcos on the way back and
generally made a day of it. I’ll have to miss Bryn Gwlad next
weekend because I absolutely have to wrap everything up for the Rose
Event (gate flyer, final logistics, etc). I leave for San
Francisco in two weeks, and the Rose event is the following weekend, so
next weekend is the last one I have in town to be sure everything is
ready.Work was busy from the minute I walked in the door, and then I had to
stay late for a conference call with some of our Asia Pacific folks
calling from China and Australia. I’ll be glad when daylight
savings time stops and the time difference is two hours less.
Then we can schedule these damn calls at 4:00pm instead of
6:00pm. Oh well.I’ve been reading good news on many friends’ Xanga sites! It’s
really nice when your friends are doing well and being happy.
When you are too, life is good.
Oooooh, I like this one:Myrna Loy
You scored 26% grit, 19% wit, 19% flair, and 52% class! You are class itself, the calm, confident “perfect woman.” Men turn and
look at you admiringly as you walk down the street, and even your
rivals have a grudging respect for you. You always know the right thing
to say, do and, of course, wear. You can take charge of a situation
when things get out of hand, and you’re a great help to your partner
even if they don’t immediately see or know it. You are one classy dame.
Your screen partners include William Powell and Cary Grant, you little
simmerpot, you.Find out what kind of classic leading man you’d make by taking the

Carole Lombard
You scored 21% grit, 23% wit, 38% flair, and 30% class! You’re a little bit of a fruitcake, but you always act out in style.
You have a good sense of humor, are game for almost anything, but you
like to have nice things about you and are attracted to the high life.
You’re stylish and modern, but you’ve got a few rough edges that keep
you from attaining true sophistication. Your leading men include
William Powell, Fredric March, and Clark Gable. Watch out for small
planes.Find out what kind of classic leading man you’d make by taking the

I’m not really an old movie buff, but I think the description of Myrna Loy is closer to how I see you. I rarely see you act in a “fruitcake” way.
It was fun cabining with you Maggie! Looking forward to Rose Tourney! I know you’ll be exhausted, but do try and come see our play! =)
Oh, absolutely! Anyone causing a crisis at the Rose event that causes me to miss the play better be really, really sure they’re in enough trouble to not mind the trouble they’ll get into by making me miss the play! (Is that convoluted enough?)
